We have modern facilities available for our pupils, staff and the wider school community. We have been careful to ensure that our school environment fosters an ethos and culture of learning and to this end our classrooms are warm, welcoming spaces, with a high specification of furniture and resources. Our investment in our children has gone far beyond the physical building. Aswell as our general classroom environments, we have specialist teaching spaces for art and design, design technology, science, ICT, food studies and catering and PE, Sport and Fitness. We have a fitness suite and a large sports hall.
Our specialist facilities are timetabled so that all pupils can take advantage of them. Our Middle years and upper years departments have separate dining and outdoor play areas and mentoring and therapy suites. We have a generously sized conference/meeting room. Around the school there are a number of 1:1 and small group work spaces available.
Our brand new school kitchen serves a range of hot and cold food, made to order each day at both breakfast and lunchtimes. We have invested in our own transport infrastructure and we own three 17 seater mini-buses and a 7 seater people carrier.
Our outdoor spaces will soon offer a ‘Kitchen Garden’ facility for our pupils and staff to grow their own vegetables, herbs and fruits and this is to be extended to the local community as part of a community allotment partnership. We also have a small mature woodland area which provides an excellent opportunity for our pupils to learn and practice horticultural skills and explore nature.
