The majority of our pupils benefit from assisted transport to and from school. This is arranged as most pupils are placed at our school following a referral from their mainstream schools, or the Local Authority, after agreement is reached with parents / carers. We are a school that serves the whole of the Borough of Knowsley.

Some pupils (generally our younger primary aged pupils) have transport that is arranged and provided by the Local Authority, providing they meet the criteria to qualify for transport assistance. This is often provided by either taxi or mini-bus.

For our older pupils in the upper years department, we utilise our own fleet of vehicles for the majority of pupils, providing a pick up service from agreed points across the Borough. This helps to promote independent travelling and responsibility. For those pupils who live within easy reach of the school, or whose parents can provide transport for them, they are expected to make their own way to and from school.

It is important to note that the provision of transport is not a given right for all pupils.
