The pupil premium is a Government initiative that provides additional funding for pupils currently entitled to Free School Meals (FSM) and those that have been entitled to FSM at any point in the last 6 years. The Pupil Premium is also available to children who are looked after (CLA) and those that have been adopted from care under the Adoption and Children Act 2002 and children who have left care under a Special Guardianship or Residence Order. Pupils who have parents in the armed forces are also entitled to an additional amount of money.
At Meadow Park School, we will use this additional funding to ensure continued progress and attainment for FSM, CLA / Adopted and those pupils whose parents serve in the armed forces. We will strive to ensure our FSM, CLA /Adopted and Service Children, ‘close the attainment and progress gap’ between themselves and non-FSM, CLA/adopted and service pupils.
Meadow Park School is committed to providing effective resources, strategies and support to improve the academic outcomes for disadvantaged pupils.
